What the consultation evaluates
A body lift addresses excess skin and supporting tissue across connected areas such as the abdomen, flanks and buttocks. The extent and incision pattern vary. The term does not mean that every body region will be treated during one operation.
Planning & trade-offs
Review each proposed component, its purpose and its scar. A staged plan may be appropriate when several regions need treatment. Ask how the overall operation length and your health influence that decision.
Questions to bring
- Which areas are included in my body-lift plan?
- Would a staged approach reduce the burden of recovery?
- How will scars, sitting and sleeping positions be managed?
Recovery & follow-up
An extensive procedure requires a practical support plan. Discuss wound-healing problems, fluid collections, bleeding, infection and blood clots, along with your individualized measures to reduce those risks.
